The Story
“Despite setbacks, I completed my Master’s degree in Social Work with 83% and second rank in my college, making my parents and Equip India proud,” says Shruthi.
Hailing from a small village, Shruthi suffered an eye injury in a motorcycle accident during third grade. After undergoing surgery and spending three months in a government hospital, she received an artificial lens.
Passionate about serving special children, Shruthi pursued a Diploma in Special Education with Equip India’s support. Despite facing financial challenges due to her father’s illness and loss of income, she completed her Master’s degree with the help of Equip India’s educational scholarship. Now, as a teacher, Shruthi is grateful for Equip India’s unwavering support in achieving her dreams.
